How Does Ordering Work?

Choose which variety of apple tree you would like from the list below, and then we’ll custom-graft your new tree to order!  It’s as simple as that. “Grafting” means that we attach a cutting of your selected apple variety onto the rootstock to create a new, baby fruit tree. Your tree will come in a 1 gallon pot, will be about 12-18” tall, and will be just beginning to wake up from winter dormancy when you arrive for pickup in spring.

About Your Tree:

This year, ALL apples will be grafted onto Bud 9, a cold hardy, dwarfing rootstock appropriate for growing in the Pacific Northwest. Mature trees will generally be 30-40% the size of a standard tree. With most apples, this rootstock produces trees that can be kept at approx 6-10 feet tall with proper pruning. As with most dwarfing rootstock, trees on Bud 9 require permanent staking for support.
